Tuition and Orientation $23,410 The tuition portion of all program fees includes tuition for most arts and social science academic courses, pre-program advisory services, on-site orientation, complete support services throughout the program, health and accident insurance, post-program follow-up and transcript. Program fees are based on credits listed on each program's cost of attendance sheet; credit overload is subject to surcharge.
Room $11,540 The housing portion of our program fee assumes self-catered, shared accommodations in a residence hall or apartment. Students in single accommodation, catered residence hall housing or home stays will be subject to supplemental charges. Please refer to the program's Accommodation page for more details.
Total Program Fee $34,950 Enrollment selections incurring additional fees will be billed several weeks after programs begin.

Personal $2,260 This budget item is meant to cover general expenses of daily life. Our estimated cost typically includes toiletries, snacks, cell phones, limited entertainment activities, and other miscellaneous expenses. This includes an estimated $300 for out-of-pocket medical expenses.
Student Visa $300 For students studying in Italy for longer than 90 days, the Italian National Visa (D Visa) processing fee is approximately $56 USD; the fee is updated by consulates every three months to adjust for inflation and exchange rate. Students should also budget an additional $50 USD in estimated shipping. Students should also anticipate paying an additional $195 USD for the Permesso di Soggiorno upon arrival in Italy. Visa costs are subject to change.
Local Travel $590 Estimated travel costs from the student residence to the instruction site throughout the course of the program.
Program Travel $1,200 The program fee does not include the cost of traveling to and from the program location. The estimated cost of airfare is based on the average cost of travel from the US to the program. Cost will vary depending on time of purchase, point of origin and dates of travel.
Total Estimate of Additional Expenses $7,245 These estimates intend to assist students in budgeting for their experience abroad. Actual amounts will vary depending on individual spending habits. An exchange rate of USD 1.08 to EUR 1.00 was used in determining the above estimates.

Supplemental Housing Fee $1,000 - $2,000 Students in single housing ($1,700), host family single ($2,000) or host family double ($1,000) are subject to an additional per-semester fee.
Catered Housing Fee $1,415 Students residing in Villa Sama have a compulsory meal plan for 53 day vouchers (breakfasts and dinners). The meal plan fee is per-semester.
